10 Dumb Video Game Heroes With The WORST Motivations

Vincent Brooks gets into a drunken state at the beginning of Atlus's tower climbing puzzle game. Upon discovering that he did indeed sleep with that girl he met at the bar that one night, he chooses to hide his dastardly deed from his fiance.

Vincent is a coward.

As he struggles to work out how best to resolve the crisis he himself created, he is plagued with nightmares that he must physically climb out of. He's also regularly pursued by manifestations of his worries. These take the form of some rather disturbing creatures, none more so than a child with a chainsaw for an arm.

All Vincent had to do to not have these nightmares was stop drinking with his buddies, have a good long think about what he'd done, and potentially break it off with Katherine to spare her unnecessary pain.

Yes, doing the right thing might have meant he would be alone for the rest of his life, but leading two women on is a bit of a d*ck move. He could at the very least give his fiance some closure and the chance to move on. But he doesn't do this because he's being incredibly selfish.
