Okay, this one's a cheap shot and it truly seems that no matter what you use for your gaming needs these days, there are always network issues involved with online play. These bugs and issues are usually very well policed and maintenance comes regularly, especially in the case of the PS4, to keep things running as smoothly as possible. With the PS4, network maintenance doesn't always seem to be solving the problems that players are experiencing. Periods of up to ten hours of downtime come and go with little indication that the time players were blocked out was time well spent. The PlayStation Network still regularly struggles to cope with hosting Bungie's Destiny servers - at least here in the UK - which tends to lead more toward frustration with the game. The relationship between console and game never seems to come under scrutiny. Issues with Destiny aside, the issue of the usefulness of the network's downtime could simply be one of clarity. There is rarely much actual information provided to explain why the network will be down at the times it is, and if we could have some explanations given then it would perhaps be easier to forgive. As it stands, however, it seems to be too much inconvenience for too little reward.
