2. Vagrant Story
Vagrant Story is the game that got me into RPGs. When it was released in 2000, it was one of the first games that I got for my Playstation. It's unique for an RPG as it doesn't feature ANY player interaction with other characters; it's a straight out solo dungeon crawler with a storyline that keeps you hooked. It was created by Yasumi Matsuno who also worked on Final Fantasy XII, a game I've loved ever since it slid gracefully into my PS2. Matsuno's narrative and his inventive gameplay made the game what it was and Akihiko Yoshida's gorgeous artwork ensured that it didn't just play good, it looked good. Ashley Riot's story needs a continuation and with today's graphical capabilities, it would be wonderful to see it continued in Square Enix style. However, with Matsuno no longer on the team, can we really see a sequel coming out at all, and if it does, will it be a game worth being a sequel to Vagrant Story?
