10 Essential Tips For Getting The Most Out Of Your Warhammer 40K Crusade

9. No Rushing To The Big Battles. Start Small

When starting the journey into the narrative it is advisable to start with the smaller matches that are given within the Crusade rules. There are three 25 Power Level (PL) games to choose from in the Core rule book and more within each subsequent release.

These missions allow you to get into the mindset of much smaller scale matches. In many ways it feels like Kill Team but without the granular nature that came with that game mode. Every unit that you field in a 25 PL feels integral to your battle plan.

Even a lowly grot or cultist can be a hero when there is such a finite number of enemies to kill, so imagine how powerful your Ork Warboss striding across the field will feel.

It also lets you get used to this game mode’s version of secondary objectives, the agendas. These are narrative in function and as the game mode expands will become more relevant to your faction.
