10 Essential Tips For Getting The Most Out Of Your Warhammer 40K Crusade

4. Mitigate Battle Scars

Remember the old concept, “Chicks dig scars?” Well it can be guaranteed no one will dig these scars but your opponent.

In real life scars can tell a story of our experiences, paint a picture of you as a person. In crusade however they turn you from a superlative warrior to a wet blanket.

Imagine your Daemon Engine roaring with feral energies charging towards the enemy, only for you to realise you’d gotten the battle scar, “Engine Fault” and all hopes of making the charge sluff away like a soggy cake left out in the rain.

Engine fault reduces the movement, advance and charge of your vehicle but it is nowhere near the worst one. Your characters can have their aura’s reduced, wounds lost and no stratagems.

You can receive these battle scars at the end of battles where a unit gets fully destroyed. You roll a dice and on a one they receive a battle scar. Low chance of happening, right? Wrong! The dice gods will chuckle mercilessly as they watch you roll one after one until all your army are missing limbs and reputation.

Fear not though, there is a way of removing battle scars using Requisition Points. As mentioned earlier, Requisition is incredibly valuable.
