10 Exact Video Game Moments That Made Fans Rage Quit
5. The High Road - Crash Bandicoot
The original Crash Bandicoot is a far more demanding game than its cute protagonist and colorful visuals might suggest, as confirmed with the 2017 release of the fantastic remaster, Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy.
But things reach truly piss-taking levels with The High Road, which is by far the most challenging and downright annoying level in any of the Crash games.
The player is required to get Crash across a long rope bridge, while fending off aggressive hogs, landing precise jumps onto the bellies of turtles, avoiding breakaway steps and navigating treacherous ice.
It's a level so brutally difficult you can easily spunk 99 lives - and many precious hours of your time - getting through it.
Sure, you can walk along the ropes to make life slightly easier, but the margin for error is still ludicrously narrow, and there's probably nobody who got through this level without letting out a fiery string of choice expletives.
If you picked up the N. Sane Trilogy hoping for some relaxing, nostalgia-fuelled fun, The High Road quickly shut that down.
