4. The Batmobile Battles - Batman: Arkham Knight

Fans were initially elated when they learned that they'd be able to ride the Batmobile around Gotham City in Batman: Arkham Knight...until the game actually came out.

Though there's an undeniable novelty factor to careening around Gotham's streets in the Caped Crusader's iconic wheels, the sense of fun quickly wears off as it becomes clear the game doesn't really have much interesting or fun for the Batmobile to do.

As a result, the latter portion of the game throw a series of mandatory and jarringly difficult Batmobile missions at the player, where they must destroy a comically excessive number of tank drones in a spate of woefully repetitive battles.

The difficulty wasn't as oppressive as the overall sense of boredom, that a freaking Batman game by Rocksteady actually made players turn it off and perhaps never return.
