10 Features & Video Games That Could Have Saved The Wii U

5. GTA V

Wii U GTA V
Rockstar Games

GTA V would have sold on Wii U even without the presence of any DLC or GTA Online. Why? Because GTA V now sits comfortably in the top 5 best-selling games list of all-time, in esteemed company like Tetris, Wii Sports, Minecraft and the original Super Mario Bros. from the NES.

And it's not even plausible to come back with "Well, Rockstar never make games for Nintendo platforms." Rockstar have been supporting Nintendo in one way or another ever since the Game Boy had a rendition of 2D GTA. The Game Boy Advance also got a version of GTA, and the 3DS had Chinatown Wars. Other titles have made it to Wii too: Table Tennis, Bully: Scholarship Edition and, surprisingly, Manhunt 2.

Nintendo really shot themselves in the foot with this one. Not reaching out to Take Two and coming to an agreement was financially ruinous to the success of the Wii U. Minecraft launched late and still hit almost 1.5 million sales - a figure that GTA V would have dwarfed.
