9. Ruzzle by MAG Interactive
I am a word freak. I was the kid that loved vocabulary tests, you know? The first word game I got was Words With Friends, which I quickly started to hate because I couldn't play it unless I was connected to Facebook. Now, I love Facebook and all, but I don't want every aspect of my life to revolve around it and I always hated not being able to play games unless it was with people on my friends list. As I mentioned, I am a word freak, so when I didn't win a game against a friend that I saw everyday, I secretly seethed with rage. So, I stopped playing it to, essentially, save my friendships. I found Ruzzle a few months ago and I have got to say, it is fun as hell. Not only do I get to kick the butts of total strangers at a word game, but I get achievements for doing so! If you know me at all, you know that I have played games just to get all of the achievements. Some features are only available if you pay for them (like your own stats, which I don't understand), but there aren't too many ads to deal with and you can waste a lot of time on it.
