10 Frustrating Dark Souls Enemies DESIGNED To Piss You Off

7. Bounding Demon Of Izalith (Dark Souls)

It's quite hard to decide on what the worst element of Lost Izalith is overall. From the overall lazy design, to boring enemies and the frankly nauseating orange glow from the lava all being top contenders, but one thing stands above all else.

And that is The Bounding Demon of Izalith, which is quite possibly the worst enemy in the entire series.

Eagle-eyed players will notice that these "demons" are nothing more than the bottom half of the Decayed Dragons you meet earlier in the game. Where those previous encounters are memorable and well thought-out, the inclusion of the dragon's arses as standalone enemies is thoroughly baffling.

Feeling more like a placeholder that never got swapped-out for something better, these hulking giants serve as nothing more than highly irritating roadblocks between you and the exit to Lost Izalith.

They deal massive damage and can take what feels like an eternity to vanquish, fighting them genuinely feels like a chore in comparison to any other enemy in the game. Thankfully you only have to fight a small number of them, but even that doesn't stop them from being a complete waste of your time and efforts.
