10 Games That Would Make Xbox Game Pass Must-Have
3. Player Unknown: Battlegrounds
Remember when PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds was the biggest game in the world? For the majority of 2017, PUBG was the story. The game rose from niche mod to breaking records on Steam for most concurrent players. In the past six months however, the game has fell to a distant second place.
PUBG is undeniably losing the race that it started to Fortnite. One of the key reasons for Fortnite's insane success is the free-to-play model, which PUBG could rival by being on Game Pass. As of now, PUBG is only available on PC and Xbox One, and it costs £29.99. Those two facts hurt the game but it could get back into the fight if it launched on Xbox's subscription service.
Battlegrounds is a fun albeit janky experience. It's not as pretty as Fornite, nor does it have the backing of an experienced developer and publisher like Epic, but it's still an incredibly fun and tense multiplayer experience. There's no denying that PUBG got as big as it did for a reason and it's time to remember why. PlayerUnknown needs to swallow some pride on this one.
