2. Mad Max
Perhaps the single most underrated game of the generation, Mad Max is a beautiful, harrowing, polished game that not enough people played for a few reasons. People need to play this game and Game Pass is the easy answer.
From developer Avalanche Studios, who also develop the Just Cause series, Mad Max came out at a weird time. The game was revealed on Sony's E3 stage in 2013, and fans were seemingly uninterested because licensed games don't have a great track record. Things got worse for Avalanche Studios when previews lambasted the game for Max's American accent - George Miller's classic Mel GIbson trilogy was set in Australia. The developer subsequently changed the voice actor and moved forward with the game.
Mad Max released on September 1st, 2015, the same day as Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Launching on the same day as a beloved franchise was a painfully obvious mistake. Unsurprisingly, it led to poor sales and a quiet death for a fantastic video game. Mad Max is a giant game with a beautifully barren world, incredible car combat, and great world-building. It's one of the best licensed games ever made and Game Pass could give it its due.
