One thing you can give credit to Blizzard for (other than creating some of the most significant IPs in gaming) is the attention and love they pour into advertising their games.

They're known for creating beautiful animations in the lead up to their releases, with one exceptional example being the WoW Afterlife shorts. Well, that limited series of clips was a real tasty treat, and fans want the whole cake now.

The dense lore behind World of Warcraft is immense, and bringing its scope and scale into an adaptation is no easy feat - as proven by the live-action Warcraft movie. However, with anime, there's a great potential to capture the expansive world in a more intimate setting.

There are multiple approaches that could be taken, such as adapting the major moments in the world of Azeroth and creating an epic experience. However, why not go for an anime that makes a set of fresh characters and explores iconic locations ranging from The Hinterlands to Ashenvale in a more quiet and reserved way?

Through this, the series could run its own adventures adjacent to the mainline narrative and even take part in it at times, helping to flesh out the world even more.
