4. A God-Awful Smell (Okami)

Divine malevolence can arrive in many forms. A lightning bolt from the blue. Holy fire. A Biblical flood. Like most mythical gods, Okami's lupine deity Amaterasu passes indubitable judgement on demonic enemies in all these ways, courtesy of her magical, murderous brush.

Unlike most gods, she also pees on them. This doesn't require the brush - just too much water before walkies.

It's probably best not to ask why Onigiri-Sensei, the dojo master of Ryoshima Coast, is teaching prospective students this technique, on the presumption most of them aren't wolves. But he is, and for a hefty ¥100,000, you can rain down on your enemies with a stream of hot piousness. Not only is it insulting, it's also effective: Ammy's golden shower will cause demons to drop their fangs, which, oddly, serve as a special sort of currency.

If you think that's disgusting, let's not even get started on the 'Brown Rage' technique. You can probably guess what that entails.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
