10 Gaming Myths You Won't Believe People Actually Buy Into

5. Lara Croft Nude Code

Tomb Raider This next myth is more wishful thinking that anything. There's no doubt that on her début Tomb Raider's Lara Croft was a pretty popular character, especially with the boys. She was violent, knowledgeable and had a great rack (for her guns, you perverts). It was inevitable that rumours would circulate of a cheat code that would simply melt away Ms Croft's attire leaving her all fleshy and pixellated. Try as they might, gamers could never find a nude code that worked, despite there being a flood of them on the early internet. Why people spent their time looking for some mythical cheat to de-clothe a fictional heroine instead of going out and meeting real ones is beyond me. However, digital peeping toms could rejoice when a PC mod carrying the naked Lara model was released into the wild, undoubtedly forcing many a gamer to question what exactly they were doing with their lives.
