5. Satoru Iwata Steps Down As Nintendo CEO

Nintendo has not been having a great couple of years, and despite this, Nintendo CEO Satoru Iwata has clung to his position, as well as his by-now cliched catchprase, "Please understand", in relation to the various troubles his company has had marketing the Wii U. It's easy to respect Iwata for his complete transparency when dealing with the Wii U's failure, even brazenly admitting that his own son wasn't interested in it, but if Nintendo are to regain even a slight foothold in the industry, they need to get re-organised, and replace Iwata with a fresh face. They need a CEO with a different business strategy, one who adapts better to disaster, as Nintendo's countless mistakes with the Wii U are a testament to how poorly he acted under pressure. Any CEO would have struggled under this difficult console, but a new perspective from someone else should be the company's guiding force moving forward.
