5. Skies Of Arcadia
Skies of Arcadia was one of the most beloved titles on the Sega Dreamcast and a few weeks ago, Sega renewed its trademark for it, once again raising hopes that a HD re-release was be in the works. But why stop with a re-release? Skies of Arcadia is still to this day one of the best JRPG's ever. Like most Dreamcast games, Skies of Arcadia was ahead of it's time and one must surely wonder where the series would now lie if it had been a PlayStation title. While Final Fantasy VII might get more plaudits, there is no mistaking the brilliance of Sega's masterpiece. It was a unique game filled with memorable characters and a crazy story. It even let you engage in aeriel ship battles! A next gen update could revitalise the franchise. A true sequel to the classic would be an excellent addition to whichever console's line-up. Great RPG's are hard to come by and with the demise of Final Fantasy in recent years, it's time for new heroes to take the spotlight.
