10 Great Characters WASTED In Terrible Video Games

5. Jake Muller - Resident Evil 6

Blood Omen Kain
Capcom

Resident Evil 6 is a terrible game, but that's what makes it also kind of an awesome game, in a terrible sort of way. It is the formerly survival-horror series gone completely off the rails. Then off the road. And then off a bridge. Zombies with guns, zombie kaiju and fighting zombies with karate (more on that soon) are a few of many reasons why.

Part of the problem was that Capcom made the classic mistake of trying to please everyone, thus not pleasing anyone. It was essentially four different games and, theoretically, for every quarter of an idea that a given player liked, there were three quarters they didn't. Most of the new characters were so generic, they felt like stand-ins as well - except one.

Jake Muller's preferred method of killing zombies is uppercuts and roundhouse kicks. And it is positively ridiculous to watch, fulfilling a dual purpose of being so silly and so badass at the same time. What makes this possible is that, like his father Albert Wesker - another cool guy - Jake injected himself with a virus that essentially turned him into a superhero.

Honestly, RE6 should have just been Jake and the zombies kung fu fighting for 15 hours.
