10 Great Video Game Sequels The Fans Rejected

3. Mass Effect 3

It's funny just how much one part of your game can cause so much disdain.

This is a lesson that BioWare is fully aware of, having gone through it following the release of Mass Effect 3.

Literally the only glaring problem with the game is its ending, but it is a pretty big problem. For a series that is entirely based on making decisions, having the final scene of the game basically being a colour choosing sequence is pretty pathetic.

However, that doesn't mean that Mass Effect 3 doesn't accomplish plenty of other things. The combat is the best the series had seen up to that point, the characters were absolutely at their best, and there were plenty of other satisfying conclusions to be had.

Bioware did eventually try and patch a new ending for the game, but the damage was already done. Just pretend that didn't happen, and enjoy an otherwise amazing game.
