10 Great Video Game Sequels The Fans Rejected

2. Assassin's Creed Unity

The hate that Assassin's Creed Unity got when it first released was pretty justified. Ubisoft clearly rushed the development of the game to make sure it came out as soon as possible, and it really showed.

By now, you've all seen the wealth of bugs that Unity is famous for, but beneath all of that is a fantastic Assassin's Creed game that introduces lots of new features whilst expanding on old ones.

Combat is classic Assassin's Creed in the best way, whilst introducing deep levels of customisation that made the experience feel personal to each player.

Parkour has also never been done better in the series, with the introduction of the option to travel both up and down changing momentum and exploration considerably. Playing Unity with friends was also a blast, although many people probably didn't even do that considering the fan reaction to the game.

By now, Assassin's Creed has gone in a completely different direction, so Unity and Syndicate are even more worthy of a replay.
