Rockstar's groundbreaking Red Dead Redemption 2 is filled to the brim with memorable characters. While the majority of the main ensemble are generally questionable people (they are part of a gang of train robbers, after all), Charles Smith stands out as one of - if not the - most commendable.
Coming from both African American and Native American backgrounds, Smith grew up facing immense discrimination. Quiet and reserved, he chooses his words wisely, acting as the angel on protagonist Arthur Morgan's shoulder.
When other members of the gang want to rob and kill everyone around them, Smith is more deliberate. He believes in helping others and only robbing the criminals of the world, the people who he believes, deserve it. Contrary even more to the rest of the gang, he hates violence. He chooses not to kill wherever possible and goes out of his way to help fellow Native Americans during the events of the game.
Arguably the most honorable member of the gang, Charles Smith is unlike anyone else in the game.
