4. Mecha Hitler (Castle Wolfenstein 3D)

As Castle Wolfenstein 3D was the first true FPS game, players were never quite sure what to expect as they peeked around every corner of the game's polygonal halls. Regardless of their personal expectations, though, it's fair to assume that none of them expected to come face to face with robot Hitler at the end of the game.

Not content with allowing gamers to live out their kill Hitler fantasies with ease, id Software decided to outfit history's greatest villain with robotic armor and a pair of gatling guns for arms. What is initially a somewhat comical sight loses all amusement once you realize that Hitler has the ability to take you down like you're Poland in 1939.
