10 Greatest Games Ever Released On XBOX 360

7. Batman Arkham City

I'm a Marvel guy. Their creations seemed more realistic (If that even makes sense) than DC Comics characters. But if there's one DC character who'd make me cheat on my favourite comics company, it's the caped crusader and it's only recently that I've started to like him, thanks to the epic Batman Arkham City, and to a point, its predecessor. Back in 2008, while a few people going nuts over The Dark Knight, I still wasn't a huge fan DC, but the two Batman games changed that forever with me. I love Batman these days, but he's about all I love about DC, and it was the games alone that did it. Batman Arkham Asylum and City were great; They allowed you to be the masked avenger to his full potential, and boy, was it fun. The combat system was so entertaining, that I think anyone who has played both of the games loves the prospect of enemies coming at you constantly, and for a game, that's rare. You brutally knocked people out landing each punch heavily, and when it came to the last guy, a satisfying slow-mo let us observe the Bat's final blow. Travelling over rooftops, swooping down on a group of enemies, dispatching them all and grappling back up into the night, all in a space of a minute was exhilarating too. They were the perfect games, and had all in them that you would want from a superhero game. The characters and the actors who played them deserved every award they got, and they made the games come alive. I often think that although The Dark Knight trilogy is good, if we saw a CGI movie with the actors from these games, they would be greatly admired. Mark Hamill coming back as the Joker sold it for me: while everyone was getting used to Heath Ledger, and as great as he was as Batman's arch nemesis, I was in favour of Mark Hamill behind the insane clown. The games have both won multiple awards, and with a prequel confirmed, it's easy to see why this made the list.
