Daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade
In Mortal Kombat franchise, Earthrealm's champions have been at war with Outworld and NetherRealm for decades. Since Earth's kombatants have been engaged in battle for so long, it's not surprising that their children have grown up and joined the good fight. In recent instalments, Raiden's warriors have been assisted by Kung Lao's son, Kung Jin, Jax's daughter, Jacqui, and Kenshi's son, Takeda.
However, it's Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade's kid, Cassie, that stands out the most. Even though she could've easily been a carbon copy of her parents, Cassie's personality is unique and her combat style is distinctive. She has similar moves to her folks but mixes it up by incorporating her twin pistols and drone in her attacks.
Because Cass is snarky and spouts one-liners, she could've come across as a parody of a millennial in the wrong hands. But due to the talents of voice-actresses, Ashly Burch (MKX) and Erica Lindbeck (MK11), Cass feels like a real person.
But that's not suggesting she isn't larger-than-life. Her parents may be cocky but Cass turns the sass up to 11, taking selfies in mid-fight or uploading to social media while performing a Fatality.
