5. Lynch Sees Civilians As Cops & "Pigs" - Kane & Lynch: Dead Men

Kane & Lynch: Dead Men is centered on the titular duo of death row inmates who are broken out of confinement to retrieve a briefcase of money, otherwise Kane's wife and daughter will be killed.

In the single-player campaign, players control the more straight-laced Kane, while Lynch is the deranged NPC sidekick, whose unmedicated psychosis causes him lash out violently, often killing innocent civilians who get in his way.

But those who play the co-op mode will learn the full fascinating extent of Lynch's condition.

The second player takes control of Lynch and will see that, as a result of his mental illness, everyday civilians sometimes resemble police officers, some of whom are even wearing horrifying pig heads.

It's a clever and surprising way to put the second player into Lynch's mental state, even if those playing solo will never glean this fascinating sliver of contextual storytelling.
