10 Greatest Unspoken Video Game Plot Points

6. Zombies Stop To Watch The Sunset - Dying Light

It's no secret of course that Dying Light's zombie horde operates in sync with the game's day-night cycle, where they're sluggish and easily avoidable during the day, but at night they mutate to become much faster, stronger, and more efficient at hunting the player.

There's a fascinating morsel of world-building hidden in-between these two states, however. Players who stop to take a gander at the zombies at sunset (20:30) will see that the zombies stare at the sky for a few seconds, seemingly waiting for night time to come.

It's insanely unsettling, and though it'll let you score a few easy kills if you're quick - as the zombies will pay you no notice whatsoever - it's also a good idea not to stick around for long.

Quite why the fading light triggers the zombies for a few moments is up for debate, but it's absolutely creepy as hell.
