10 Hardest Video Game Enemies They Had To Patch

3. Blazing Bull - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

Sekiro's Blazing Bull fight requires a lot of prep work. Before even triggering the encounter, you should take out any other enemies in the surrounding area, lest some random scrub runs up out of nowhere to ruin your day (which is already bad if you're fighting the Blazing Bull).

After starting the fight, you still want to avoid confrontation. By luring him into smashing all the destructible objects in the environment, you'll have a nice clean arena to make the fight as close to fair as possible. And, since the Blazing Bull is, well - blazing - you'll want to avoid frontal attacks.

Now, the Blazing Bull was never impossible. The strategy to beat it isn't complicated and an experienced player will be used to much worse. The problem is more that the blazing bull is encountered so early on in the game that you won't be an experienced player, creating a massive difficulty spike that could easily turn a new player away permanently.

The nerf to Blazing Bull wasn't huge - just a moderate reduction to his health and defense - but it was enough to make all the difference for such an otherwise difficult and unpredictable early encounter.
