10 HD Video Game Editions That Are Actually Worth Buying

5. Devil May Cry Collection

What It Contains: The original-looking Dante and the full Devil May Cry trilogy. Devil May Cry games are notoriously hard and equally fast-paced. These games are simply designed from the ground-up on forcing players to master the mechanics, and essentially develop lightning-quick reflexes. The original trilogy of games for the PlayStation 2 didn't have the best frame rate though, which is pretty crucial for a series that is asking you to have split-second reactions and unprecedented precision. And in addition to giving the games HD graphics, Capcom also greatly stabilised the frame rate. Furthermore, the HD collection's version of Devil May Cry 3 is the version from Japan, which is even harder. Seriously, Easy Mode in that game is comparable to hard mode in most games these days. On top of all that, while it is a bit sensationalist to say that Ninja Theory murdered the entire franchise with the reboot, everyone should at least experience the original trilogy to grasp a better understanding of what Dante's original personality was. The 2001 DMC is actually responsible for creating the entire genre, so there is a historical interest too.
