Grand Theft Auto V is the third-highest selling single game of all time, and one of just three to break 100 million single copies sold, an astonishing feat considering it is the youngest of the three in terms of release date.
Off the back of GTA V's incredibly successful online mode, the seventh title in the main series continues to be one of the highest-selling games each year even to this day, more than six years after being released.
The controversial franchise hasn't just relied on one game though, finding success for decades now as the game evolved from a structured level-based, top-down view game, to an open world free-for-all that has seen the series sky rocket into the gaming stratosphere.
