10 Most Hotly Anticipated Video Games Of 2015

7. Bloodborne

A swing and home-run of history book-dominating proportions for the first Dark Souls and something more akin to slightly phoning it in for DS2 leaves FromSoftware's new baby with a lot to live up to. The Souls games pride themselves on cutting out your legs from under you at the last minute - more often than not actually giving you a few seconds' notice though, just for those hardcore players to retain their "Well if you paid attention..."-shtick. Bloodborne looks to be doing more of the same, except the big change this year is the addition of firearms and morph-able weapons, ingratiating and highlighting the idea of ranged combat as more of an option than before. Of course ranged weapons in terms of bows and arrows or spells have been frequented in past Souls titles, but it was always the melee combat that was the 'true' way to play. If FromSoft can deliver on a refined game engine that highlights the necessity to switch between the two, as well as nail the sort of interconnected game worlds only they do better than everyone else, this will kick off the new franchise in the best way possible.
