10 Hotly-Anticipated Video Games You Probably Won't Get To Play This Generation

Although CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk 2077 was announced before The Witcher 3 had even hit shelves, work on the game in earnest only began in the past year or so. With much of the team focused on putting the finishing touches on Geralt of Rivia’s final adventure, Cyberpunk was seemingly pushed to the side until the studio could dedicate the time it needed to starting the project.

And even though work has since begun, the game is allegedly even bigger than the studio’s previous offering. Massive RPGs like this can’t be slapped together in a couple of months, meaning it’s going to take the team years before they get the game to where they want it to be.

This isn’t just speculation: CD Projekt Red have already confirmed that the game could be up to four years away still. Although they’re one of the most respected developers in the industry, they don’t have the same endless resources as EA or Activision, and as a result it’ll be a while before Cyberpunk 2077 is ready to be released into the wild.
