10 Huge 2017 Video Game Rumours You're Not Supposed To Know

After initially being announced back in 2008, Beyond Good & Evil 2 has seemed to be more on and off than Fable Legends. But, where Fable Legends failed and eventually fell victim to numerous studio issues, this sequel to the cult classic Beyond Good & Evil is still clinging to life. Ubisoft representatives reconfirmed its ongoing development at E3 earlier this year, and fans of the game rejoiced.

However, despite almost eight years of small-scale hype and speculation, there's still barely anything known about the details of it. Upon the initial reveal it was heading for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 hardware, but in 2011 a speaker at an exclusive Ubisoft dinner suggested next generation consoles were being targeted. This would be awesome, but may not be exactly what we get for the sequel.

Numerous reports this year have suggested that Nintendo are funding the development, asking that it be exclusive to their new NX console in return. This may sound outrageous - and heartbreaking for PS4 and Xbox One players - but Ubisoft's response to the rumour was concerning. Rather than deny the speculation, they actually requested that the reports be removed by some original posters.

This kind of behaviour is deeply concerning, and Beyond Good & Evil 2's fate looks set to be decided by the almighty Nintendo dollar...
