10 Iconic Video Game Franchises That Must Come To Current Gen Consoles

Back when I was a wee lad, there were three gaming franchises I was completely obsessed with: Ratchet & Clank, Sly Cooper and Jak & Daxter. These games were my life, and as I grew older I... betrayed them all and bought an Xbox 360.

Seeing as though two of these franchises have already made it to PS4, it seems unfair to leave Jak and everyone's favourite Ottsel behind. Yes, his name is spelt wrong and his ears are pointy, but the Jak & Daxter series is well overdue a current gen instalment. The original trilogy was flawless, going from kid-friendly adventures to ones filled with guns and teenage angst, Jak & Daxter was action platforming in the purest sense. The world was varied, dense and full of compelling characters, also the story across the three games was infectiously engaging.

Let's just act like Jak & Daxter The Lost Frontier never happened, and return to the run n' gun gameplay we grew to love so dearly. Although Naughty Dog parted ways with the franchise to focus on other projects, I would love for them to return and get this done right! We've seen what they can do with today's technology on both The Last Of Us and Uncharted being spectacular, and I want that for Jak & Daxter.

Bring back old characters and introduce new ones - please, I'm not ready to say goodbye to this franchise just yet.
