10 Iconic Video Games That Must Come To PlayStation VR
5. Journey
Journey is a very, very pretty game. Now imagine that ocean of glittering sand laid out before your very eyes in VR.
Now, we've seen third-person games using VR technology already, such as Ubisoft's Edge of Nowhere. However, to truly get the most out of Journey in virtual reality, it could make the transition to first-person. As the traveller, you would truly get a sense of distance between yourself and the shining mountain - your eternal destination.
Interacting with the other players you meet along your journey would also become a more intimate affair if you could literally look them in the eye. Not only that, but a lot of Journey is about just how small you are. You come up against enormous, mechanical monsters that thunder overhead, as well as scale massive ruins. All of this would look stunning from a first-person point of view. With virtual reality, the games don't have to all be cockpit simulators and driving games - boundaries can (and should) be pushed.
