10 Images That Will Restore Your Faith In Upcoming Video Games

1. Injustice 2

Final Fantasy XV
NetherRealm Studios

Why We're Worried: There was a heavily mixed fan reception to Injustice 2's unveiling at E3 in June, namely relating to the disappointingly ropey graphics, and a focus on loot and gear that may take it too far away from its pure fighting roots for the hardcore crowd. Much like Infinite Warfare, it'll either elevate the series to new heights or probably be its undoing.

Why This Image Rocks: Yes, there's no getting around the fact that Wonder Woman's face does look kind of strange in Injustice 2 (and NetherRealm always seems to have trouble with their female characters), but she is an exception rather than an example when it comes to the roster at large.

All it took to restore some fan goodwill was the unexpected appearance of the Jamie Reyes version of the Blue Beetle in the latest trailer, a fan favourite character who most fans honestly never expected to appear in the game.

He looks terrific, and what's more, NetherRealm leader Ed Boon has promised that more niche faves like Beetle will be in the final line-up. Even if you've got some healthy skepticism, it's tough not to be excited by that promise, as well as the fact that they seem to be nailing the look of some less-famous characters.
