10 Impossible Video Game Sub-Bosses That Stopped You DEAD

5. Mona & Lisa - Streets Of Rage

As you reach the end of Stage 5 in the original Streets of Rage, you may be disappointed to see the bosses are a gymnastic duo called Mona & Lisa (who are also known as Yasha and Onihime). After previously facing a towering wrestler, a wolverine knock-off, and a fire-breather, fighting a pair of acrobats looks seems a piece of cake. Two minutes later, you will receive the Game Over screen and wonder what the hell happened.

Mona & Lisa may be a palette-swap of Blaze but they are a force to be reckoned with. If you try to hit one, she will somersault behind your character and perform a German suplex on you, causing devastating damage. The only way to hit them is to strike where you think they are going to land. If you miscalculate by the tiniest pixel, they'll smash you into the ground.

If you find any section in Streets of Rage too tough, you can call your police buddy to drop a missile in the vicinity, causing heavy damage to all enemies. Sadly, when you face these girls again in the final stage, the backup feature is disabled, meaning you have to beat them all by yourself.
