3. Fire Leo - Viewtiful Joe
Every boss in the side-scrolling beat-em-up, Viewtiful Joe, is fairly challenging so fighting five of them in a row in the sixth stage is a tall order. Just to make this boss rush as unfair as possible, it ends with the insanely tough Fire Leo.
First off, it's not very clear how to effectively hit this fiery feline so you will most certainly lose upon the first few tries. You know that means? You have to go back to the start, meaning you have to endure the boss rush ALL over again!
Even if you know how to hit him, this lethal lion still proves to be exhaustingly difficult. If you use Slo-Mo when he spins around, he will swipe you with his claws. You have a split-second to duck or jump to dodge these attacks. If you succeed, he'll get dizzy, allowing you to wail on him for a while.
If that was all the battle was, Fire Leo would still be the game's hardest boss. But because he swamps the arena with rocks and fireballs that are nearly impossible to dodge, Leo has earned his title as one of video game's most frustrating bosses.
