10 Incredible Singleplayer Features You Can Only Unlock By Playing Multiplayer
1. Death Isn't The End For The Dark Urge If They Have Friends - Baldur's Gate 3
Baldur's Gate 3 is designed with single-player campaigns in mind. Though the game features a proper co-op mode, from the perspective of the plot and some gameplay elements, it's clear the game was primarily intended to be played solo.
This is why it might come off as a shock that there are features you can only experience if you play with friends!
One of the endings in the game can only be triggered if you play with at least one other player and one of you has picked the Dark Urge origin.
In the regular single-player finale, obvious spoiler alert ahead, when you choose to take your own life as the Dark Urge, you don't get to experience the epilogue party.
However, if you do this while having another player with you, Withers will actually bring you back from the dead in the form of a little soul sprite, so you can see and enjoy everything from beyond!
This unlocks a one-of-a-kind feature where you can mess with the partygoers by possessing objects and moving them around. The NPCs will actually react to your ethereal mischief, commenting about "a presence" and a spirit skulking around.
It's a pretty surprising mechanic that you won't be able to see if you play single-player only.
