10 INCREDIBLE Video Games You Can Finish In Under 5 Hours
6. Firewatch
Firewatch is what we would refer to as a walking-sim, a game almost more like an interactive movie, but that is not to say that the gameplay suffers as a result. In fact, Firewatch has one of the most immediately immersive game worlds you could hope to experience in just a few short hours.
Very heavily story driven, you’ll control the middle-aged and tired Henry, who is posted atop a tall tower in the beautiful wild landscape of a natural forest in Wyoming, USA. His job is to watch for fires, if you hadn’t guessed. Gradually you begin to learn more about Henry’s life, through flashbacks and conversations he has over the radio with the faceless Delilah, his only companion in this quiet, solitary profession.
Very quickly though, you’ll begin to realise that something very sinister is happening in the forest, and neither Henry nor Delilah have any clue how to deal with it.
A mystery that will keep you guessing right up until the closing moments, Firewatch’s dramatic shifts in tone and mood are artistic genius, and you will love unravelling the tangled web of its tragic plot.
