10 Infuriating Boss Moments That Make You Question Life Itself
10. Nushi (Gravity Rush)
One of the best PS Vita games to date, Gravity Rush was a pretty enjoyable game, despite a few shortcomings. The enemies of the title, Nevi, were a fresh take on oppositional forces, as they were beasts made out of various gravity storms that occur during the story's events. Naturally, the bosses were the same way; just bigger, more powerful, and definitely more fun to face. However, one boss Nushi made for a bad experience, as during it's initial encounter it doesn't take any damage for a good majority of the fight, and will ravage the heroine Kat very quickly. Only after fruitlessly attacking Nushi will it finally reveal its weak spot where Kat can deal damage, but even then it is still a hard beast to take down. After Kat initially defeats the beast, it returns for two more times, always more powerful and annoying than the last. It is later revealed that the reason Nushi won't die is because it has weak spots you can't see, and after the whole "see beyond what is there" plot cliche, the gravity shifter can finally kill the beast......until it returns again to wreak a little bit more havoc before dying for good. Though the setup of the battles was meant to make the player feel Kat's helplessness when fighting Nushi, the whole ordeal was very long, harrowing, and incredibly annoying. Difficulty Rating: 6 - The number of retries on this boss isn't high, and the difficulty is really only in the beginning to drive the feeling of helplessness home. Still, if it took a long time to beat Nushi you might want to accompany Kat to the lost village for a while.
