Arguably the worst kind of escort mission is one that ends up hijacking the entire game, as is pretty much true in Capcom's revolutionary Resident Evil 4. As Leon S. Kennedy, you're tasked with locating and protecting the President's daughter, Ashley Graham, and after acquiring her earlier in the game, you have to babysit her for the rest of it (except for a few sections where she ends up being hauled off). It's a real testament to everything else in this game that I persevered through taking care of such a useless, shrill-voiced character: the key tends to be leaving her hiding inside dumpsters or telling her to stay put while you run ahead and take care of business.
