4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (NES) Hoover Dam
http://youtu.be/DqfRus5ePmI Ah the classic Turtles Hoover Dam. To this day, Ive got a sneaking suspicion that developers Konami and Ultra Games ran out of money before they could finish the game and just designed this level to be impossible. While I know thats not true, for all intents and purposes it could be (the above vid could be an elaborate cover up from Konami). Ive certainly never beaten it myself to find out. And Im not going back now;I#d have more success disarming real underwater bombs. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was among the first video games I ever really played. I remember how exciting it felt to take control of the various Turtles (it was one of my favourite cartoons growing up), to act vicariously through a fictional, virtual creature. I remember thinking that all the way up to the Hoover Dam level, at which point I was introduced to the concept of the rage-quit. A frustrating early memory of mine which all but ruined a great early gaming experience.
