10 Infuriating Video Game Boss Battles That Made You Rage Quit

4. Senator Armstrong - Metal Gear Rising: Revengance

Metal Gear Rising is such an over-the-top and absurd game that your outlandish encounter with Senator Armstrong should come as no surprise. Fighting a former U.S. Senator of Colorado who also happens to be in the running for President of the United States is totally normal, this is a Metal Gear game after all.

What makes Armstrong so annoying is he's injected himself with nanomachines like a meathead injects steroids. Which in turn have made him invulnerable to physical trauma because nanomachines are the answer to everything in the Metal Gear universe.

"Nanomachines, son."

Between listening to Armstrong talk politics and gloat about how powerful and invulnerable he is, you have to manage to find a way to take him down. This is where the real pain comes. Rising in itself is a difficult game, especially when it comes to boss fights; they require impeccable timing to dodge and counter and even though it may seem it, it is not simply a hack-and-slash game.

The fight with Armstrong is no different, and you'll need to be near perfect to dodge his attacks as they seem to come out of nowhere, and are powerful as hell. Armstrong is smug and powerful, and fighting him is beyond annoying, the perfect storm to make you hate everything about him as well as actively putting you off ever revisiting this fight ever again.
