10 Insanely Hard Achievements Hidden Inside Easy Games
Where did that come from??
It's an undeniable fact that some games are easier than others. In fact, some of them are specifically designed to be as easy and unchalleging as humanly possible.
You know the type of games we're talking about here: cozy farming sims, life simulations, children games. And yet, despite their simplicity, sometimes these casual games can surprise you with the most devastatingly hard achievement in your gaming career.
Yes, when it comes to achievements, the type of games you're playing doesn't matter. Even the coziest titles may surprise you with a challenge so difficult that it would make a veteran Soulslikes player shudder at the thought.
These kinds of achievements usually take the simplistic and undemanding formula of an easy game and modify it into an actual test of your skills and knowledge.
Whether it's an impossible challenge posing as an innocent objective in a farming sim, a hardcore minigame hiding inside a family-friendly title, or the harmless gameplay of a cozy game turned up to a hundred, the following achievements are wolves in sheep's clothing.
Though they are awarded for playing simple and easy games, you'll be pulling your hair out, trying to add them to your collection.
10. Chit-Chatter - Disney Dreamlight Valley
Disney Dreamlight Valley is the animation titan's official take on the life simulation genre. It's a blend of Animal Crossing and Harvest Moon where you live in a town populated by your favorite Disney characters that you can talk, play, and become friends with.
However, if you're looking to get the "Chit-Chatter" achievement, it's mostly the talking you'll have to do. A month's worth, to be exact.
"Chit-Chatter" is a reward for having at least 1,000 daily discussions with your town's residents. At first glance, it may seem like a simple task, as talking is as easy as clicking a button. However, the true difficulty of the achievement comes with the time investment involved.
Because daily discussions, as the name suggests, happen once a day, once you talk to everyone in your town, you have to wait 24 hours to do it again.
With the current total number of possible residents being 33 (with DLC included), this means that the achievement will take you at least 31 daily logins to complete!
For the record, originally the achievement would take even longer, around 60 days, as the resident number was capped at 17.
You know, at this point, the life sim might as well become your real life.
