10 Insanely Underrated Wrestling Video Games You Must Play

1. Ultimate Muscle: Legends Vs New Generation (2003) - Gamecube

Based on an anime and manga, Ultimate Muscle: Legends vs New Generation (seriously why are these so long?!) is a colourful, cel-shaded, fast-paced "wrestling" game from developer AKI Corporation (known for Def Jam Vendetta).

Superhero wrestlers vs Supervillain wrestlers who do battle for an intergalactic wrestling federation called the Muscle League. Over 30 of these characters can be chosen from to participate in this game's frenzied action.

Don't take it's crazy appearance lightly, the game is difficult with a brutal AI, because deep down, it resembles more of an arcade fighting game.

If you can't handle the AI, bring in three of your mates and compete in the Versus and Tournament modes where it's guaran-damn-teed that wacky hilarity will ensue.

More people need to play this game, purely for their reaction to its absurdity, whether they're aware of what it's based on or not. If you've been yearning for a fresh game to scratch that Def Jam itch, it's right here.
