10 INSULTING Nintendo Switch Games

6. FIFA 23: Legacy Edition

A legacy edition, in a different context, might sound like a positive thing. Perhaps an enhanced and complete version of an already-beloved title, packaging all additional content together in Game of the Year Edition style.

Sadly, in this case, it’s anything but.

The Legacy Editions of FIFA titles that have hit Nintendo Switch have essentially all been FIFA 19 for Switch over and over again. Granted, it’s a common complaint that FIFA titles change very little from year to year, but Legacy Editions go further in this regard: they’re the same title again, with only teams updated.

It’s a shame that this formula has ensured for as long as it has on the Switch, and football fans can hope that the situation improves when the newly-rebranded football experience finds its feet.

After all, technical issues for ports are one thing, but Legacy Editions are pared-down versions of the titles by design and intent.
