10 Most Intriguing Indie Gaming Releases Yet To Come In 2014
6. Goat Simulator
Goat Simulator is teetering on its release date and barely scrapes into this list, and even though many people have obtained early access to this game it is still worthy of mention. Goat Simulator was not meant to exist. We may have had Street Cleaner Simulator and Woodcutter Simulator, but surely Goat Simulator is a step to far? This was Coffee Stain Studio just playing around with a games engine, and releasing some footage on Youtube. Fortunately the internet was not willing to let this joke lie. Eventually it was confirmed that Goat Simulator would be released as a full title, and the game looks an awful lot of fun. Coffee Stain Studios have described the game, like an old school skating game, except instead of being a skater, you're a goat, and instead of doing tricks, you wreck stuff." The gameplay appears to be entirely chaos based, which is fantastic news. Most gamers love a chance to sit back and wreak havoc, and that seems to be the driving force behind this game. With the final trailer being a clever pastiche of the original Dead Island trailer which got the whole gaming community so excited we can be pretty sure that Goat Simulator is being a bit tongue in cheek, and with so many games taking themselves seriously this is a great thing.
