10 iPad Games That Are As Good As Anything On Consoles Right Now

9. Space Age: The Cosmic Adventure

With so many games keen to push the boundaries of what can be achieved on a tablet, it's satisfying to know that there are also games out there that could just as easily have been created for your Sega Master System. Space Age: The Cosmic Adventure is, unsurprisingly, a sci-fi adventure game, and one that embeds the player as a lowly 70s astronaut about to return home. Things go awry, and you're forced to explore, investigate, and even fight your way to a solution over a series of gloriously lo-fi levels. It's not just the visual aesthetic that makes the game worth playing though, and the designers request players try their best to get some decent headphones on the go for their sessions - the wonderfully interwoven soundtrack adding equally as much depth and colour. With a great narrative and compelling dialogue, the game is boiled down enough to welcome the most infrequent of gamers, but still varied enough to keep players of all standards entertained.
