5. Grand Theft Auto IV (2008)
Everyone loves GTA V, but it would be nice to see its predecessor receive a full-on remaster given how lacking it is when compared to the newer title.
Grand Theft Auto is one of the most recognizable and well-regarded video game franchises of all time, yet it is a disappointing to see much of the series' history left by the wayside. Many gamers have fond memories of Vice City, San Andreas, but PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 owners are more likely to remember the triumphant Grand Theft Auto IV.
A high point in a series with very few lows, Grand Theft Auto IV would still be an awesome experience today were it not for the antiquated control scheme and sub-par visual fidelity. Some of the game's cutscenes are downright cringeworthy in terms of just how unrefined the seem, and it would be nice to see Rockstar Games come back and touch up their older titles.
PC players sort of had this wish fulfilled when the notoriously poor port was revitalized in a 2016 update, but many fans would likely appreciate a full-on remaster.
