10 Major Video Game Sequels Coming In 2021

Horizon Zero Dawn came out of nowhere and stormed the world; even standing toe-to-toe with the first Breath of the Wild. Combining ancient nomadic cultures and societies with new technologies, it was a surprising breath of fresh air and a game that we have been wanting a sequel for. This year, we're going to get our wish.

Releasing either Q3 or Q4 of 2021, Horizon Forbidden West continues the story of Aloy, a young hunter of the Nora tribe, sent on a journey to the mystical territory known as the Forbidden West to seek the root of a deadly plague that consumes all it infects.

Set in an immersive environment in post-apocalyptic California, Utah and Nevada, the game will traverse the elusive region known as the "Forbidden West". The game will feature a plethora of sites including the abandoned San Francisco and the Yosemite Valley with diverse ecosystems. One of the key additions to the sequel is underwater exploration too, as seen in the reveal trailer.

Even though the game is being released on the PlayStation 4, it will also be released on the PlayStation 5 and will take advantage of the console's next-gen capabilities.

This undoubtedly incredible journey cannot come soon enough.
